Power Mapping Workshop 9 am-4 pm.
The Coalition for Tobacco Free Alabama (TFA) is sponsoring the workshop and lunch. Thus, the registration is free, but registration by July 16th is required. Email michelle.dickey@adph.state.al.us to register.
TFA has formed a Smoke Free Campaign Team, which has met several times, to develop a plan for 2011. Tremendous progress has been made and now we need your community/organization support to have your advocates attend the workshop. We are looking for individuals that are willing to be an advocate in making Alabama smoke-free.
We are very fortunate to secure the national speaker C.B. Pearson to deliver a free one-day workshop on strategies to empower your community and the state to become smoke-free in 2011. C.B. Pearson has been a public interest advocate for more than 30 years and specializes in advocacy and civic skills training. He has developed and directed trainings for the Robert Wood Johnson SmokeLess States Initiative. C.B.’s trainings are praised for their healthy mix of group exercises and practical, hands-on exercises tailored to the challenges faced by participants.
